How to disconnect, so passenger can watch DVD
Just purchased a IS 350, it has the Mark Levinson system, with DVD player. Problem I am having is no one can watch a movieunless the carhastheemergency brake on. Does any one know how to disconnect this safety feature? The dealer cant disconnect it, but some where on the web there are suppose to be instructionsfor the owner to do it them self.
Any help would be appreciated.

osty,
That had a way to do it on the older Generation Systems ........ Unfotunately, Lexus/Toyota caught on and with the arrival of the Gen 5 System ( which is in your IS if it is a MY07 ) and snafu'd that. there is a company that will talk too you about purchasing a "LockPic" system .......... I've included the Web Address........

Good Luck and Keep your eye off the screen while driving................ also a Cop will pull you over if he see all kinds of light up front after dark, while your moving.............. He'll know if you've "LockPik'd" your system.

Thank You for your help, still cant play a DVD without the emergency brake on, but have learned how to by-pass the NAV, so passenger can input new info without me pulling over.
Company you suggested said they would keep working on it, but for now they can't help me.
