The left side rear axle carrier of my 90 ls is currently sitting on my work bench. I have not been able to seperate the axle hub from the axle carrier using the technique described in thefactory repair manual on page SA-66. Note that the factory technique is to use universal puller P/N 09950-20017. I fabricated a puller and am able to apply considerable force but no axle hub displacement has been achieved. Can I apply some heat and not get permanent shape creep of these castings ? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
