Hey,

My 1998 ES300 is going in for a 90K maintenance on 1/26. The Lexus dealer's "dealer spec." 90K maintenance includes replacing the timing belt, all for a big bunch of money. The Lexus maintenance schedule, which is written for all Lexus brand cars of that year, says to change the timing belt for all cars at 90K, except the ES300. However, if I look further at the schedule, it never says when it should be changed. Is the '98 ES300 engine an interference type engine that I need to be conservative about this?

i do not know...but i would push a timing belt much more than 90k...even thought it is expensive...
