My daughter's IS 300 , (2001 35,000 miles) valves are making a racket. Improves slightly when warm but still loud. Does any one have experience with getting them adjusted?
Can it be done by a good mechanic or do I need to involve a dealer?
Expensive or no big deal?
This car have a salvage title so it is not a warantee issue.

i am not familiar with the top end of that engine, but this seems VERY unusual to me...i would take it to a dealership, or at least someone who has experience with that engine
