Default Oil filter removal nx300

Can't remove oil filter holder on 2018 nx300? Applied lots of torque but can't break it loose. I'm using the proper cup wrench. Don't want to break the housing. Any suggestions? Thank you. Jerry Rowell

Further research, common problem, previous owner of my car over tightened the plastic housing that holds the filter. May have to use an impact to remove it which will probably crack the plastic holder, so Im ordering an alum replacement before I try further. These housings are to be torqued to only 18 foot lbs, according to Utube. Anyone else experience this problem? Thanks Jerry Rowell

Received another plastic cap in case I busted the old one getting it off. Was successful in removing the old cap with an impact wrench. Before using the impact, I had applied at least 100 ft lbs torque with a pull handle, but could not break it loose. Gently used the impact and it slowly loosened and came off. Alum caps are not yet available from Lexus. Required torque on these caps is 18 ft lbs. Hope this helps someone else having this problem. Thx Jerry
