Just purchased a 1991 LX400 and I am going to pick it up this afternoon. I was hoping that by joing this forum you all would be gracious to help me transform the car back to it's original glory.
The exterior is fine except for a chip on the front bumper. The hood struts need to be replaced.
The interior is going to take some major work to get it back to the Lexus standard. All the seats need to be covered again as the leather is in bad shape. The factory radio has been replaced. The temp control unit display is not working. The cup holders and the center console need to be fixed.
Mechanically the car appears to be very sound. I am going to replace the brakes as the pedal is a little spongy at this point.
But even with the problems I love this car.
