This is the second time in about a year that my car decided it doesn't want to start. The battery is new and strong, but it will not turnover and the check engine light is on. If it is left to sit for about an hour then it will start up again and I have to wait it out all over again in 97 degree temps in parking lots until it decides it will start again. I tried to take it to the dealership, but they only want to replace the starter for $835 without tax or the like. They didn't bother to hook it up to a computer to see what codes it is putting out, only wanted to kill my bank account and massively. Any ideas of what is happening? Last year it was at a local smaller shop for over a week and they couldn't find anything that would cause it to not start, I guess my car wanted to have a vacation? Any ideas as too what would cause this issue?
