I had a fender bender a few months ago, after the body shop finished their work (front end) the check engine and VSC lights were illuminated, they ran a check and found no problems but did not have the tool to reset. I took it to my Lexus mechanic and he checked it out on the computer and found no issues so, he just reset the computer. He felt that since it was in the body shop and had been disconnected from the battery, it just needed to be reset. All is well for a few weeks and then I have to go back to have it reset (twice now). The last time, we decided to change the gas cap and see if that did the trick... it did not. The next morning, I started her up and the dash lights are back... is there something he may be missing, I do NOT want to go to the dealer. My odometer is reading 198K+ miles, could it be something with needing a service? I love my car, and have taken pretty good care of her. Any insight or guidance would be most appreciated. Thanks!
