Read your posts on the squirrel cage noise and thought I would give it a go. I tried grease to moveble piviot arms to no avail. Next I tried a tension spring to the Piviot arm finding the noise went away with a small amount of tension. I accidentally knocked of the tension arm return spring while attaching my spring. I found the without the tension arm spring in place all works great. Try this first before taking out the modulators as it was the perfect resolution to my nasally squirrel cage noise. I left the arm spring around the arm but made it having no tension by off loading the spring arm. Good luck and hope this helps.
