I have a 1999 Lexus RX300 and the Interior Panel Lights fuse keeps blowing. The fuse is in the interior fuse panel at position #44. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this common? I can live without the lights, but I am concerned that there might be a short in the electrical system...

 

didyou replace it with the right fuse? (sory had to ask) a fuse blows when there is a short, thay blow to protect the rest of thecircuit. myguessis that you have an exposed wire somwear that is touching metal when you turn a corner or somthing causing the short, do the lights dim before the fuse blows or is it just all at once?

 

Yes, I replaced it with a 7.5 micro blade fuse from AutoUSA.
And it just blows; no dimming or warning.
I quess I will have to bring it to the dealer and have them look for the short.
