After oil change my mechanic noticed the PTU (power transfer unit) in the front was slightly oily. Nothing drips on my driveway (its pavement so I'd notice) and there is no burnt smell. Oil picked up road dirt so it was black, and mechanic said it looked like engine oil. He has no idea where this comes from and suggested doing a dye test. He also said its a small leak dont worry about it.

What possibilities are we looking at here? Leaky oil pan? Timing chain cover leak ?
