My 1997 LS400 was totaled last week by a dump truck in a rear end accident. I bought a Cert. Pre-Owned 2003 LS430 the next day. I've noticed that the transmission seems to shift very quickly from a dead stop on moderate acceleration. It shifts 1 - 2 - 3 to 4 by the time I get to 20 or 25 mph. After reaching 4th, if I have to accelerate much, I get the expected downshift to a lower gear. Is this normal for this car? Any ideas on what to expect from the service department if I take it in for diagnosis? Thanks for any help you can give me.
