Differential 93 Ls 400

Need to change differential and when I look at tech manual it seems pretty involved. Do I really have to take down exhaust??,should I replace mounting cushions, they are $45.00 each.
Appreciate any do's and don'ts from those who have done this job.

who told you that? i have a 92 ls400 and didn't have to move anything but a bolt and plug... what would you like to know. I work on my on 92 lexus ls400
