Cruise Control Conundrum
Hi there! I'm new to this forum and a new Lexus owner, scoring a great deal on a 2013 LS460 L earlier this wk. with only 71k mi. It's a beautiful car in immaculate condition, and the driving experience is literally like floating on a cloud! After spending the past 6 wks. researching and test driving various cars, I narrowed it down to a 4th gen. LS and realized that the LWB version simply looks better, locating one right here in FL. Driving it home I couldn't seem to find the cruise control though and figured I'd just check the owner's manual later. Well, let's just say I was shocked and very disappointed to read "(if equipped)". And we're not talking adaptive cruise control here as I was expecting just the basic type in what was a $78k flagship back in 2013 dollars. After all, Corollas and Camrys have been offering this as a standard feature for years. So I naturally assumed it would be included here as well, but unless I'm able to find someone who's able to provide an aftermarket install, I'll need to start shopping this car on the used market, less than a week after buying it and hopefully without taking too much of a loss. Does anyone have any experience adding aftermarket cruise control to one of these vehicles? And generally speaking, is this even feasible? If not, I'd appreciate any tips or advice on reselling it, and where should I go for a decent offer? Thanks, in advance, for your suggestions!
