I bought the above key and keyless remote from MidwestKeyless on ebay recently.
I cut the key and programmed it without any problems. Then, I attempted to program the remote. No such luck. I've tried every way I could find to program it, but for some reason, it just will not work. I've also already successfully programmed the kind of remote that is separate from the key.

Does anyone know if this type of remote structure is incompatible with the 99 Lexus ES300?

Just so no one wastes his/her time, be aware that I have already tried the sequence of 5 lock/unlocks, closing/opening the door...etc.

Any other suggestions?

 

take it to your local lexus dealership. i'm pretty sure service could figure it out.

 

oh, and i think that unlock and lock thing applies to ford doesn't it? i programmed a key for my brothers mustang once.
