Hi,

A family member passed away and her 1999 ES300 is being shipped to me in California.

Does anyone know if Lexus sold cars like this that were only "49 state" emissions (ie, didn't meet California emissions standards)? Or were they all "50 state certified"? Because if this car is only 49 state certified I guess I'll have a little extra work to do.

I've heard there is a sticker under the hood that will tell me about this specific vehicle, but as it is already on the truck I can't look until it gets here. But if anyone knows in advance, it will be nice to have a heads up!

Just had a thought.... if there is an owner of a 1999 ES300 located OUTSIDE of California.... could you look at the sticker under the hood and let me know if the car is "49 state emissions certified" or "50 states emissions certified"? My car is very likely to be the same! Thanks!!
