Brake noise

Letting up on the brakes in my 2005 ES 330 makes a loud thud sound that is very annoying to my wife. It is especially irritating when in stop and go traffic. My local dealer is of no help.

there are small pieces of metal that serve as springs of sort. they can break, and allow the pads to "walk" in the calipers...

If you drive on 05 you should demand that the dealer help to fix the car they just sold you. Warranty??? My local dealer has been more than kind to me, even though I did not purchase the vehicle through them.
