Default backlighting question

I just purchased a 2008 ES 350 and love the car. The only complaint I have so far is that during the evening hours, the backlighting does not work on the HomeLink (garage door opener buttons), personal night lights and sunroof controls. Is this an issue I should address with the dealer or does the ES lack any night time backlighting on these controls? If this is something the manufacture overlooked, they really need to correct this as it is challenging to find the correct button in the dark.

Default RE: backlighting question

You have touched upon the failure of Lexus to include proper interior lighting for the ES350. One cannot see the individual home-link buttons (or for that matter, the other control buttons) above the rear veiw mirror when the car is in darkness. There simply is not enough illumination provided by the system.

In time, repetiton using the bottoms will train your reflexes to find the one you need. Nevertheless, the lighting is a bummer!
