Default '92 ES having heating issues...

I've got a 1992 ES300 with 137,000 miles on it. It drives terrific, but this past week has started having issues with the automatic climate control system. For some reason after the car has heated up the ACC doesn't kick on. It's as if it doesn't detect the temperature of the engine, or the cabin. When I take it off of Auto and handle the blower controls myself it seems fine. However, it's also blowing cooler air when I'm stopped then when I'm driving. Perhaps that's normal for an older car, but it just started this past week. Has anyone had issues like this in the past? Any clues you could give me? My gut tells me the dealer will have to check it out, but I'm hoping I get lucky and it's a sensor I can replace easily or a fuse or something.

Thanks in advance for you wisdom!
Trevor

Default Resolved issue...

In case anyone else runs into this down the line I thought I'd let you know what I found to be the problem. My radiator developed a hair line crack. The crack was located on the plastic top piece of the radiator. The crack allowed enough pressure to be released from the radiator so that the anti-freeze wasn't being pushed through the heater core at the normal rate. The automatic climate control detected the loss of heat and therefore would not kick on the blower. Crazy.

So anyway, a new radiator and all is well. I just thought this might be helpful to others down the line.

don't have the same situation but perhaps you could just alter your radiator with vw radiators. since radiators of our vehicle is one of the most important part of the engine cooling system. they dissipates the heat from the engine coolant. your situation might be that the radiator of your old car has lessen its function.
