2015 Lexus ES 300h (Hybrid) Fuel Efficiency
I have a hybrid 2015 ES 300h. I've been keeping track of the average mile per gallon (MPG). During the first year, it gave me an average of 34 MPG. When I had the six-month service done, I asked the service advisor why the MPG was low compared to the window sticker, which shows 39 Freeway and 40 City. Also, I'm a very careful driver, live in a valley, let the car coast through... The mileage should be close to 39 or 40 MPG. The service advisor told me that the average would improve when the car reached 9,000 miles. However, the opposite is true: the last fill up it only gave me 29.4 MPG. This is very disappointing! I'd like to ask owners of same car to share their experience on MPG. Thank you.

Hybrid mileage
I have a 2014 es300h with 21k miles that I drive only on city streets. I'm getting about 30 mpg. I wonder if it's because I am in stop and go traffic most of the time. I just bought it last month, so I don't know it's mpg over time.

Cars will rarely achieve the EPA sticker miles...there are just too many variables we encounter in real life driving...stop and go traffic, headwinds, tires properly inflated, quality of fuel, tuneups...on and on. We just bought a new to us 2015 300h and I'll be surprised if we get anywhere near the sticker.
