My RX 400h '06 makes an unusual "creek" When braking at very slow speeds. It even happens when the vechile is stationary and sometimes when the brake is released???????????? Any ideas.
Thanks in advance.

Default brakes

Have you taken a look at your brakes pads to see how much left they have in them? Sometimes when your front brake pads are worn down they start scratching with the disc, therefore a weird sound begins. I recommend you change your front brake pads. I recently bought PBR ceramic brake pads for my Lexus RX330 and i cannot be happier. I recommend you get the same. Try them out at qeautoparts.com for under $50.00. Good luck.

Thank for the info. Pads are very good. This noise is in the front.

Hey guys- I'm new to the forum and am having this SAME problem with my 08 Rx400h. Whenever i brake i hear that "creak" sound. It even happens if i press the brake when in Park just like you said above. All pads are good and brakes "work" fine- i just don't know what's causing the noise.

Did this problem ever get resolved? What was the issue?

Thanks!
