What are the common problems associated with a 1990-1994 Lexus LS400?

Power Steering pump leaking/failure is a common problem. Brakes are not the best on this car. Do not "power flush" the transmission when changing transmission fluid. Throttle body should be cleaned every 100,000 miles. Engine on this car is strong.

 

I have a 1995 SC400 that has a steering pump or hydraulic line leak. It is hard to get at the pump to remove it in order to find the leak spot and inspect the line. jbgillick@embarqmail.com

 

What did you do in order to find the pump?You have to reach the pump and inspect if there's leak to address the problem properly.

 

what do you mean by throttle....i am not very clear about this ...can you explain...
