Default ABS issues

Hello all,
I am chris in Burlington vt, I have a 01 rx300, and a 05 rx330. My most recent problem is with my 300. My abs light is on, when it is not on i get intermittent brake grab/grind and the abs pulse. I had the codes read and the rear left is the offending component. here are my questions:

Do I change just one wheel sensor or should I do both rear?

Can I buy just the head and plug into existing cable or is it all one piece, or is it just a better idea to do the cable as well?

Is the wheel speed sensor the same part as the vehicle speed senor (transmission).

could my sensor be ok and I have an issue with the rings or axle or ....?

I am plenty handy with wrenches and the like but I havent had to fix any abs systems, learning mode.

Thanks in advance for all advice, opinions, help, and comments.
