rattling from left front wheel area
 

Hi, I need some help in diagnosing a bad rattle that is coming out of my left front wheel area. This is a 99 ES 300 with 140,000 miles. This problem does not exist on very smooth roads, which there are none in Oklahoma, but on bumpy roads it is a very bad, constant rattle. There is no abnormal bounce, or turn in the wheel. I have replaced the front struts, checked the breaks, and resurfaced the rotors, but nothing has helped.

I am open to any suggestions or ideas that may solve this problem.

A lot of times it’s the plastic cover that spans the front under side of the car is loose and makes all kinds of noise. (the guy at jiffy lube didn’t put in back on right)
