Default shock absorber help

Hello, my rear shock absorberare leaking at the caps and I would like to rebuild them (change the gaskets/seals). Does anyone have technical tip on that? Is it something easy to do?

I usually see them called lift struts. They should be replaced in pairs and cost around $50 per pair at most auto parts stores. The pleasure of having it work like new is priceless.
