New member here. Just bought an almost-mint 99 LS for a road trip car. Low miles and quiet - a good buy, I feel. Like other older LSs, the hood lift struts are shot and not available at the local auto parts store. I found an on-line Lexus parts supplier so I guess I'll order them there. It's interesting to see the issues others have with their cars but there doesn't seem to be the traffic on this forum that I see on other makes' forums. I guess Lexus cars have fewer problems than those other makes. Anyway, glad to join.
