I have been a Toyota fan for over 40 years with many Corollas from a 1969 Carina to a oil burning 2000. This is my first Lexus that is replacing my wife's rusty 1992 300 e Mercedes. I took a leap on a high miles (270k) 2003 ES 300 with impeccable service history and general overall excellent condition for 2500 us. As many in the US know the used car market is extremely tight and very few decent machines are available at a reasonable price. The rear windows do not work but I understand a TSB was issued for that year. The car has had many parts replaced and is in excellent condition save a CD stuck in the dash radio. The smoothness and overall integrity reminds me of my old 80's Mercedes ! I still have my other autos ( MGBs, 80 VW rabbit and 85 300TD wagon ) but am looking forward to learning about Lexus. My son has a 1997 LS 400 V8 which I find truly amazing ! ( Wife didnt like the seat or it would of been mine)
