Hallo from Germany - need urgently your help regarding my US SC430
 

Hello to all,

I´m from Munich / Germany and my 2005 SC430 is from Texas. And since I tried to override Lexus Navigation Motion Lock, my little baby only shows me the message : Insert correct DVD and some japanese scripts (believe it´s the same meaning for correct DVD).

I know that the navigation system does not work in Europe, but till now it doesn´t matter - the main thing is bluetooth phone works. So I always lived with the North America DVD Navigation Map (W41 / 86271-33044 / 464210-0581 / Data ver. 04.2), which the pre-owner left, very gladly till I tried to override to let passengers use the phone during driving. Now I have no chance to get to the main menu or volume menu, because the message is like carved in stone.

My call for help : Is there any chance to reset all ?

Trying to get help from Lexus Germany or some local dealers ends in shrugs of shoulders and the mandatory : that´s a simple USA car - buy a german one and we can help you with everything. Last proposal was: buy a new dvd reader + new touch screen + new cables = rd. about US $ 12,000.- and even navigation will work.
I´m not Donald Trump or a Kenedy member to spend so much money for that - even that was the reason why I bought my baby in Texas and imported him to Germany (saved rd. US $ 2,500.-).

Now my last hope after a hundred of phone calls and visited Lexus dealers / mechanics are you in the forum.

So please - any hint how to reactive the system back to normal life would help me.

Sorry for my gruel english but school is 30 years ago and I don`t have many chances to talk/write english.
