94SC300-A/C & Heater/No Heat/No Cool/Air Only
I bought my 94 SC300 from a dealer who bids at impound auctions, so I know very little about the history of this car.
The A/C air compresser comes on when activated, the air blows very strong but it doesn't get HOT or COLD.
I've heard numerous possibilities, from the control door, dry heat exchange, the climate control
I was also told that the HEATER & A/C are 2 different problems.
The engine looks brand new, no leaks whatsoever, everything else seems to be o.k., but this is a serious issue. I already froze this winter and I won't make it w/out A/C, I don't want to buy unecessary parts, they are too expensive. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
THANKYOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: 94SC300-A/C & Heater/No Heat/No Cool/Air Only
im with the two issue theory\
going on said info
sounds like a control door.or temp contol function issue
and........a heat problem
i know the heater valve iscontolled with vaccum which is turned on and off by anelectronicsolenoid.
so possibly the solenoid has went out or the vaccum line is leaking. (heat not working)
or possibly the coolant is low or heater core stopped up
at the same time the blend door is stuck on heat.(a/c not working)
which cant work because of the other problem.
hope that makes sense

RE: 94SC300-A/C & Heater/No Heat/No Cool/Air Only
Hello again, I am not sure how to ask more to the one who replied, or if it is even allowed. I replied to my own question not knowing if you would see what I added. So I apologize if Im not doing this correctly.
I AM CHERI, YOU REPLIED TO MY QUESTION AND I NEED A LIITLE MORE INFO, PLEASE!!!
I was told the air flow door is located on the inside engine panel, below the windshield, is that true, because I can not find any door or even an opening of any kind.
And as far as the heater core, It doesn't have any symptoms, like the smell of antifreeze or leaks or fog on the windows, so I would say the control door also, but I have never heard of a dry heat exchanger, where is that located? And also are these mechanical issues or are they controlled by electrical relays or sensors that are mal functioning/
THANKYOU FOR ANY ADVICE

the blend doorshould beunder the dash
i have never actually pulled the dash/ hvac apart on the sc
but the blend dooris usuallyinside of the hvac assembly
and the dooris moved by either vaccum or electronic motor
it could be one of those parts that has failed
