Default CD Changer Won't Unload LS430 2001

My cd changer has a CD stuck and will not eject it. Won't play either, gives the CD Error message. I tried fishing it out, but could not see the edge of the CD, it seems to be obscured by the loading mechanisms. The car has factory installed navigation.

Where can I get this repaired for a reasonable price in the Los Angeles area?

I had one shop take the entire radio package out and then discovered that the CD changer was affixed to the bottom of the Levinson radio. They said they would have to send the whole package out and I would have a big empty space in the radio stack and probably no touch screen climate control. Hmm, I wonder how long I would have to drive around like that and what if they "lost" the radio.

By the way, how much would be involved in patching into the radio/navigation display system to connect a small MP3 player that could be stored in one of the glove boxes? Could it be made to work with the audio touch screen buttons? This would eliminate the need to repair the changer and enhance the system by making it able to play the MP3 format. Oh, and I don't like the FM interfaces that play via an unused frequency, like 88.0.

I have the very same problem and concerns. Would love to hear about an "easy" fix for this.
