I have a 1998 LS 400 (Silver Jade) and the exterior drivers door handle had broken. I called the local lexus dealer in Charlotte and they want over $400 to replace the part. The part (Handle)comes painted to the factory color ($145) plus $250 to install. Does anyone know where I can get this part cheaper? Is it hard to replace? Help.

What broke, the handle itself, or just the linkage? If it is the linkage, you can pull the interior panel and see the linkage and youll probably see the rod that has come loose. snap it back in place and you should be set. 500 bucks, yikes! Independent mechanic could help you out on this one.
