Default DIY Article: Replacing the EGR Valve on a GS300

Howdy GS owners!

Here is a concise article on replacing the EGR Valve on a '93 GS300. This procedure will also apply to other first generation model year GS300s:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from EGR valve. (refer to this GS300 EGR valve diagram)

3. Disconnect the pressure hose from EGR valve.

4. Remove the 2 nuts, EGR valve and gasket.

--Installation--

5. Place a new gasket on the intake air connector.

6. Install the EGR valve and tighten the 2 nuts to 15 ft. lbs. (21 Nm).

7. Connect the vacuum hose to EGR valve.

8. Connect the pressure hose to EGR valve.

9. Connect the negative battery cable.

10. Enjoy your handy work by whatever means that you deem fit
