Wheels for 2005 ES
 

Hello, I am new to the Forum and new to Lexus. My wife just purchased a 2005 ES330 and I just purchased ( the same day) a 1999 ES300 Coach . Both are awesome cars. I have driven German rides for many years and this should be a vast improvement based on discussions I've had with owners. Here is my question. I'd like to purchase a set of wheels for the 2005 ES so as to keep the stock ones nice and away from salt this winter ( Maine) . I'd happily go to a 16 inch alloy and wonder what other wheels might fit so as to keep the cost reasonable ( Camry, etc..). I would like something that is hub centric, as these avoid all the balance issues that come with hub rings as commonly recommended by folks like the Tire Rack. Don't get me wrong about Tire Rack, they ar egreat. I just don't like the idea of centering rings . If anyone has had good experience with them, please let me know. I really appreciate your help.


Also, one of the center caps for my 99 ES Coach alloys has a broken tab. Lexus no longer stocks them. They are smaller than the stock wheel center cap which measures 2 1/2 inch where mine measures 2 1/8 inch across. Any thought on who may have them or suitable replacements ( generic).
