Sounds like a dry bearing up top?
 

Hello,
New to the forums. I have what I can only say sounds like a dry bearing somewhere. I hope it’s not something internal in my engine. It has 123,000 miles. It seems after putting a pole on it with my ear to somewhere by the alternator or I’m not sure, has anybody ever had a similar situation? Thanks in advance.!
