help with a 2000 lexus ES300
 

Hi there. I bought a used Lexus (2000) ES 300 about 8 months ago - and it's been a dream car - I have no complaints - EXCEPT - for the past 2 weeks when I've been driving - the brake light kept coming on.....however, the emergency brake was not engaged nor was I touching the brake. Now all of a sudden - my cruise light keeps blinking - and the Trac Off comes on and the ABS comes on......now I drove it around and the cruise control does work (although it is not on - so I don't know why it is showing up on my dashboard all of a sudden) and for all intense purposes - the car is running fine - but there must be something going on that all of a sudden all of these lights are lighting up my dashboard like a christmas tree....any idea? suggestions? Any help is greatly appreciated.

as for the red brake light... check the brake fluid level. if its low that can trip that light also if the fluid is low, u could have a leak or the brake pads are worn thin. also check the battery ground to see if its loose. loose grounds can make all kinds of ghosts and phantom electric problems. good luck!
