My ES300 has what appears to be a hydraulically driven cooling fan. I've never seen one of these. What powers it? It appears to be running slow and causing, I suspect, the A/C to not work properly. How is this controlled? What are the most likely areas to investigate for this problem?

are you certain that it isnt a clutch fan?
