Default $2K off on 2008 model?!?!

New member here in the market for a 2008 ES350. Very surprised to learn in the Houston area, $2k is the best deal off list. Is this as good as it gets?

It depends on the market. If you're in an area where there is only 1 Lexus dealership within 300 miles then you're going to pay what they want and If you don't then they don't care because someone else will. Now if there are 4 lexus dealerships within 20 miles like in the situation that I am In then the ball is in your court and the dealership will be more flexible. Now as far as the pricing issue. You are buying a 2008 model car in 2007. what do you think a "fair and reasonable" discount is and what do you base that number on? It may be perception. I've worked at a Ford Store where We had to give away cars at under invoice. or I could discount a car 6 or 7 thousand dollars because there was a $5000 factory rebates. But in all Honesty you are buying a Lexus because you know the value that it is and so does everyone else. Lexus really doesn't need to give cars away because of the "Value" that you're getting for your dollar. Maybe you should be a little more realistic in your Expectations as far as a discount is concerened. If you Like the car then Just buy it. Check Edmunds.com and type in your Zip COde and they'll tell you the average price paid for an ES 350 in your market.
