Trunk stuck shut, won't open - 2005 RX 330
 

The trunk has not opened automatically with the fob in years. However, as of today, it cannot even be opened manually. It feels locked, even though it's not. I tried locking and unlocking the car.
I did notice some broken plastic months ago, but it's still been opening and closing fine. I can't see how a mechanic would even get it open to see what's wrong.
The car only has 65k miles and I've owned it since it was a year old. Ideas?
