Stuck in 4LO, check engine on

I have a 2013 GX 460 and a 2011 LX570. Both vehicles have independently put themselves in 4LO with the check engine light on in addition to trac off and the transfer case idiot light on. I did not touch the 4LO in either vehicle. I’ve tried placing in neutral and backing up 200 ft the forward 200 ft which was advised by the dealership. Both vehicles are serviced regularly and up to date on all factory advised servicing. The only unique thing in my environment is very heavy pollen. I read about the possibility of the MAS filter being clogged and causing problems. Has anyone experienced this before?

That sounds like a frustrating situation. While heavy pollen could potentially affect your MAS filter, it's worth considering other factors too. It might be a good idea to have a professional check both vehicles thoroughly to diagnose the issue accurately. Sometimes these things can be tricky to pinpoint, but getting it looked at is a solid first step. Best of luck!
