Reversed the polarity when charging battery

1st- thanks in advance for not chiding me for my stupidity . . . I reversed the polarity when jumping my battery on an SC430 (it was early in the morning, I was tired, not much light . . .) I've replaced the battery and all fuses that I could determine were blown. The car starts, but most the guages and lights still don't work - and it won't shift out of park. It appears as though the large square Alternator fuse is blown - but I can't figure out how to get it out. Any thoughts are appreciated.

RE: Reversed the polarity when charging battery

Wow that must have been a shocker!!!! ( Sorry had to throw that one in ). But seriously if the Vehicle will not come out of Park then it's a Job for your Mechanic, You could have fried the Mother board or the ECU that will need to be reprogramed or replaced. Sorry dude.

Let us know what the verdict is so we can pass the information along to the next person that does this ........... and I'll bet you that there will be plenty that do it.[sm=morning.gif]
