Default Radio installation-where is the factory wiring harness??

1992 ES300. I am in the middle of installing a second hand radio equipped with CD controls and a CD changer in the trunk. I cannot find a wiring connection for either the back of the radio (for the CD connection; I have the radio connection) and I cannot find the connection in the trunk for the CD changer. This car originally had just the radio+tape player without the CD changer. I assumed the factory wiring harness anticipated a CD add-on and would have a CD connector tucked away somewhere. Am I wrong? Are wiring harnesses radio unit specific or do they anticipate an ungrade? Help if you can before I put all of this back togther without connecting the CD components. I have already destroyed the center vent trim removing it and I want to be done once and for all. Thanks.

The radio has a connection. The car's wiring harness does not have a connection to the CD port on the back of the radio or a connection in the trunk for the CD changer.....at least I could not find them. Is my only option to add a new wiring harness and how hard is that to do for a do it yourselfer? Thanks.

if there is a connection in the head unit, i would just find the right type of wire, and run a single wire to the changer, then run the power for the changer, if not already there...i wouldnt bother with a whole new harness.
