Dealership is perplexed as are four other mechanics, not affiliated, as to why this intense battery drain has rendered my car "dead on arrival". Can't even push button start the car. Battery is fine as are all other connections. No excess drain because of door ajar, glove box, nothing like that.

I let the car sit about two weeks this winter because it drives so bad in the snow. Then went out and nothing...nada...so I had my guy jump it. It started and I drove that day. Next day...dead, dead, dead. He could not find the problem. Now, after a bunch of qualified techs looked at it from the dealership, they say they are "80%" sure it's the computer from the starter that needs replacing...a $1500 part!!!! And they can't even guarantee that's the problem!

I need somebody who knows things, who can give me really sound advice here. Don't want to spend a frick'in king's ransom on a "maybe". Right now the car is sitting dead at my mechanic's driveway. The only way to move it is to jumpbox the battery, then we can turn the wheel, but no start. Nothing. I can get it then on a rollaway tow truck bed and bring it back to the dealership. I need some help!!!!!
