How do you replace a license plate light bulb in a 1993 es300?

 

there should either be two bolts holding it on from the outside, or you may have to peel back the trunk liner

 

From the outside no bolts are to be seen it enclosed by a plastic cover, I peeled back the trunk liner and no bulbs line up with license plate bulb. I was wondering is there another trick, it can't be that difficult.

I am also having that problem. I pulled the liner andunder it isbolts and metal and nothing lines up. I also tried looking to see if maybe the cover pops off, but it doesn't. Help!!!!!
