Lexus LS400
 

Hello,

About 10 months ago I came into ownership of an LS400 which I am having problems with now. I come here because nowhere in and or the surrounding towns has the right Dx plug to fit my car.

I have 2 problems;

When sitting to idle for about 5 minutes the idle turns rough. When the idle becomes rough the RPM's drop so low that the can is about to kill over. Just before it reaches the point of dieing the RPM's spike for a fraction of a second and once again drop. This will happen 2-4 times until it finally does kill over.

Another problem is that when starting off from a dead stop the car will hesitate until I put the gas petal down far enough to force the car past the hesitation. After the car hits about 25MPH and up everything run fine.


I was hoping that someone could give me some insight into what this problem might be and maybe a few good ways to fix it. If not then at least some info of how to find a place with the right plug to fit my car for a Dx test.

Did you ever get the solution for your runability problem? I have an LS400 with the same or similar condition. Please reply.

Well $665.28 later, the only thing that anyone could tell me was that the ECU isn't working right.
