Default Hardening various auto parts?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if hardening various auto parts is a good solution to extend the lifetime of your car. That includes both interior and exterior parts! I've been thinking of using Borinox to achieve this, but I'm not sure if it's really necessary, you know what I mean? Would you recommend doing this? I have the feeling that newer cars use low-quality parts on purpose so they'll break more easily, resulting in the customer having to buy a new car every few years... Or am I being paranoid?
