I recently purchased 2001 LS430. This car was equipped with 17" factory wheels. I'm finding the ride to be rather stiff and noisy on certain road surfaces. Page 360 of the owners manual says, "Your Lexus has been fitted with specially developed tires (225/55R17)which provide exceptional dynamic performance... However, your riding comfort may worsen a little and road noise may increase during driving." My question is: would 16" wheels fit on my car and, if so, would they give me a smoother, quieter ride?
